Following the nomination of ministers by President Muhammadu Buhari , the Nigerian Senate today began its constitutional excercise of screening the seven nominees.
RPN had gathered that the nominees who were invited to the National Assembly arrived at the Senate Chambers early to commence the exercise.
The ministerial nominees who took to the podium one after the other were asked a number of questions ranging from unemployment to the present academic strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The nominees who were confirmed are Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh – Abia State; Umana Okon Umana – Akwa Ibom State; Ekumankama Joseph Nkama- Ebonyi State; Goodluck Nanah Opiah – Imo State; Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegoroye – Ondo State; and Odum Udi – Rivers State.
