The Governor of Kano State and Chairman of Edo State APC governorship campaign council, yesterday met with President Muhammadu Buhari lamenting the division in the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ganduje stated this while meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari alongside the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.
The duo had met with President Buhari to perhaps brief him about the outcome of the Edo Elections which had seen the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki defeat his counterpart, Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress in last saturday’s guber elections.
Though the meeting was held behind closed doors, a source told realpoliticsnigeria.ng that Ganduje had lamented the disunity within the party’s fold which had cost the APC the Dennis Osadebey House.
The source said that Ganduje had fingered certain governors, ministers and some party officials as working against the interests of the party.
He urged Buhari to look at ways of ensuring unity within the party, where party officials would put the party first.
